giren, originally giren Co., is dedicated to creating unique and cute products that delight the inner child in people of all ages. Our products are designed and packaged to feel like toys you could find at the store.

I started  giren in June of 2019 as a sophomore in college, with the intent to create a K-pop enamel pin shop, featuring my first enamel pin design, “Spidey Koo,” combining my ultimate bias and favorite superhero. From there, I continued to design enamel pins that merged childhood nostalgia with K-pop.

Like many small businesses, quarantine was when giren grew the most. I was able to expand my products and ideas beyond just enamel pins to include jewelry, keychains, standees, and even 20cm dolls.
After a long hiatus and closure to focus on finishing my undergraduate degree in early 2022, giren made its comeback in June of 2023, rebranded to what you know today!

The name, giren (pronounced ki~rin), came from my love for my favorite animal, giraffes. Giraffes teach us every day to embrace what makes each and every one of us unique. While the pronunciation is based on the Korean word—기린—the English spelling is a mix of "giraffe" (gi) and my name, Loren (ren).
